Two Hard Basket

If you like a good mix of Rock n Roll and Disco music with some easy listening tunes thrown in you`ll find the Tonsley Hotel, 1274 South Road, Clovelly Park a jumping joint on many Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

The atmosphere in the Tavern Bar of this long-established hotel is great! It has a feel of warm enthusiasm about and the crowds who frequent it find little difficulty in get fired up for a night of mixing and entertainment.

With bands like Two Hard Basket and Boris Loves To Boogie often providing the music, the conditions are right for some fun times. For those who like to dance, the dance-floor isn't huge, but we manage. However, for most people that doesn't matter as they come along soak up the atmosphere and listen to the music.

The crowd will be mainly singles, mostly in their thirties, forties and fifties, but spread across all age groups with no shortage of younger and older patrons. It's a place for everyone.

You'll usually see an impressive display of Rock n Roll dancing, with a fair bit of Cha-Cha thrown in. It`s a good place to go with company, but if you're alone you may well run into others you know, including Gareth.

Going Places With Gareth has held many Friday Night Dinners at the Tonsley Hotel over the years. It`s a great spot for dining. The menu has good variety with plenty of choices in the middle price range. There's a function room you can book for a larger group. Two Hard Basket usually play at the Tonsley every Thursday night from 8 PM to 12 AM.
