This is a list of Dancing Teachers and the functions they arrange. All are welcome to attend, however you should contact the organiser for details of their events as some may be specifically aimed at niche markets, eg New Vogue, Latin, etc.
Teachers and Lessons
Gareth is holding Rock & Roll Dance introductory classes at the West Croydon/Kilkenny RSL, 19 Rosetta Street, West Croydon. The start time is 7.30 PM for basic technique instruction. From 8.30 PM advanced moves will be taught. All are welcome to attend for both sessions. The cost is from $7 for the whole evening. Want to learn Rock & Roll? These classes are conducted in a friendly social atmosphere at Racquets SA, 1303 South Road, StMarys. There is instruction for beginners and intermediate dancers. The cost is $5 and all are welcome. You will also see lots of demonstration from experienced dancers. No bookings are required but you can call Barry on 0417889721 for more details.
Well-known teacher George Davison will show you the basics and finer points of Rock 'n' Roll dance. Monday evening 8 PM at Greenwith Community Centre. Professional Teacher. Ph 0418 821 383. Private Lessons on Tuesday and Thursday Evening 7 PM. Bookings Essential.
This dance style is similar to Rock & Roll but with different footwork. Its at the Governor Hindmarsh Hotel, Port Road, Hindmarsh. Lessons are from 12 PM until 1.30 PM for $4 followed by a Cajun style lunch for $5. Afterwards, practice in the front bar until 5PM. Contact Martin on 0415471709 for more details.
