Arthouse Movie Group

If you are a movie buff who prefers the 'arthouse' features rather than the mainstream Hollywood style entertainment this group is for you. Fortnightly movie outings started on October 2001 and have continued almost every fortnight since then.

The venue is usually a cinema such as the Palace or Nova in Rundle Street, or sometimes the Trak Cinema at Burnside.

The group meets either for dinner before a later movie or opts for an earlier screening and visits a nearby cafe for refreshments and conversation afterwards.

The hosts, Jan and Helen, advise the movie and venue in advance and maintain an email list to advise regulars of coming session details. Anyone is welcome to attend but it is essential to advise them first. For that reason the date only, not the movie or venue details are advised in the program. However, you can add your name to their subscriber list.

Jan can be contacted on 0414 561 583 or email

The Arthouse Movie Group was started by Warwick Graham in 2001. He hosted it for six years before retiring to pursue other interests.
